How to outsource and delegate effectively
It’s important before you outsource or delegate that you’re clear on the outcome. What are you trying to achieve? Get specific on this. Having a vague idea often leads to failure in task delegation. Who do you think is the best suited to this task? Perhaps you have a number of employees who you can delegate to. If this is the case it’s important that you understand their strengths and weaknesses to ensure you delegate the right task to the right person. However, if delegating to employees is not an option, then it’s time to consider outsourcing. Make sure you do your research on an individual or company before you outsource. It’s worth researching a few outsourcing options and then weigh up the positives of each one.
Your time is valuable
Time is money and as a leader within your business this saying couldn’t have more truth to it. First things first: write down all your responsibilities as a leader. Figuring out how to delegate starts with determining what to delegate. This worksheet offers a space to write down the tasks, projects and goals you have on a regular basis. This is the first step towards effective delegation.
